About Me
My name is Elizabeth Selleck and I am a speech therapist.
I received my master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Washington in 2013. I have worked in outpatient clinics, hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, and high schools and middle schools.
I have worked with people of all ages, but my favorite age groups to work with are teenagers and young adults. I enjoy having conversations with my students and listening to them talk about their learning.
They all have their unique strengths and challenges just like I have my own unique strengths and challenges.
This website is meant to be a resource for my students so they can find some helpful tips to keep working on their
communication skills because the learning never really stops, nor should it.
I also want to make it very clear that communicating is hard work!
It's not possible to get it right every time and you will make mistakes, just like I do and everyone else does.
But we keep practicing and learning because communication is so important.
And the single best way to learn communication skills: practice, practice, practice.
