This is hard! I think most of us are aware that we have things to work on, and we don't really
like to hear about them. Nor do we like to hear about even more things to work on from others.
First, try not to overreact to their feedback. Say something like, “Thank you for the feedback.”
Don't try to justify your actions. Often, this just sounds like making excuses. It is rare that this is a good idea, but there may be circumstances where it is required such as:
If someone is accusing you of something you did not do.
Or if it is something that could result in losing your job.
Whether or not you work on their suggestions may depend on whether or not the feedback is really useful. If others are giving you similar feedback, it's probably something that you
do need to work on.
